Description: Living room collage

Materials: Interior design magazine, water color paints, paint brushes, glue, salt, rice, scissors, masking tape, markers

ABLLs-R goals: F5+F8, F16, F17, F20, F23, G12, G13, C23, H13, H15, H18, H24

Pros: It is age appropriate for older learners and includes functional targets (i.e., furniture, parts of a house). There are also plenty of opportunity for teaching prepositions.

Cons: This is a longer activity, so some learners might lose motivation.

Step 1: Paint the windows, walls and flooring. Spread the glue and sprinkle salt and rice on the paint and glue to give the walls a “textured” look.

Mand:
